Hungarian companies are participating in a large-scale greenfield infrastructure developments in Kazakhstan. Construction of a new international cargo airport begins in Kazakhstan with financing from Equilibrium Capital (HU) and participation by Globalia (HU).
Alongside of the Equilibrium Capital, the Globalia Kft., will coordinate the organizational and business integration work of the new international cargo airport project. Starting in mid 2025, the modern international cargo airport will be built as the first phase of the greenfield investment. The first phase will be followed by two additional large-scale infrastructure developments, thus serving the dynamically developing needs for freight transport.
Kazakhstan has set an important goal to develop trade routes, and the new cargo airport is an integral part of this. The modern airport and the additional large-scale infrastructure developments to be built around it will significantly expand the cargo traffic capacity of the region. The airport to be built is organically linked to Kazakhstan’s “Silk Road” development goals and provides an opportunity for goods and products to reach European countries more quickly.
